So I went to Greece for a work conference (EARLI- educational research). I’ve never been to Greece so I extended my trip a bit on the front end to Athens. Then I went to Thessaloniki for the conference at then even to Halkidiki for a post conference student trip.

I can only say wow. I love Greece. The colors! The food! The history! The art! I’ll definitely be returning some time.

Here are some of the photographic highlights from my trip.

First, Athens!

When I’m traveling I love going to the local markets to explore and take photos. The central market in Athens definitely delivered. (Trigger warning for meat butcher pics)

Then it was off to Thessaloniki for the conference and some more exploration.

Then it was time for some post conference relaxing at the beach in Halkidiki after stopping at the historical town Nikita.

I thought it was interesting all over Greece how much street art and graffiti there was. Some of it was clearly commissioned, lots of it was clearly not.
