May 31st is the twins’ adoptiversary. The day we went to court and signed the adoption papers. Although, we had the twins in our custody two days prior on placement day. We can’t believe it’s already been a year! It’s true what they say, the days are long but the years are short.

We decided to celebrate the twins’ adoptiversary every year with a South African style braai (grill party basically) with both Swedish and South African dishes, including malva pudding, a South African dessert. We had lots of Swedish flags but I realized, no South African flag. Something we’ll have to fix for the future. This year we were fortunate enough to have not only Farmor and farfar attend but Mimi was also here visiting from the states.
